The Problem of Being Too Fat
Being too fat is commonly known as overweight or obesity. It is simply defined as too much body fat inside. Overweight potentially leads high risk of health problem.
Being too fat is recognized as a major factor for heart disease. Due to the overweight, the heart will work harder. It can lead to the heart attack. Furthermore, obesity potentially rises blood cholesterol and blood pressure. In addition, being too fat can change the amount of sugar in the blood. This will cause diabetes and other serous disease.
Beside all of that, being too fat is often avoided by many young women. They said that becoming too fat will bother their physical beauty appearance.
More serious studies are necessary to see the effect of obesity. However it is clear enough that overweight is not good enough for healthy life.

ReplyDeleteWhat is exactly an analytical exposition? Some linguists say that an analytical exposition is one of argumentative texts which present some supporting idea on why certain writer's opinion is important. The opinion is formulated.
ReplyDeleteFrom above definition, that is why this example "contoh" of text about the disadvantages of being fat is considered as an analytical exposition.

ReplyDeleteAda 3 tahapan dalam membuat teks analytical, yaitu:
1. Thesis, berisi tentang suatu pernyataan tentang permasalahan tertentu. Biasanya diawali dengan kalimat I personally think, In my opinion, I believe, dll.
2. Arguments, berisi tentang alasan-alasan untuk medukung Thesis yang dikemukakan. Diawali dengan kata, atau frase First, Second, Furthermore, In addition, The last, dll.
3. Reiteration, berisi tentang simpulan dari Thesis, dan Arguments yang dikemukakan. Kata-kata yang digunakan biasanya In my conclusion, Based on the arguments above, dll
Hopefuly, this help and encourage you to analyze and determine the generic structure of above text by your own view.
